Want to know what’s hot for bridal hair in 2019? Look no further. Israeli designer Berta showcased the coolest update on the traditional updo for her Spring / Summer 2019 catwalk show in New York earlier this year. Here, House of Thabiso’s featured hair and makeup artist Quelle shows you how to recreate Berta’s runway looks.

Sexy barely-there silhouettes, gowns adorned with feathers and dazzling long sleeve dresses covered head-to-toe in shimmering sparkle, Berta’s new collection for Spring/Summer 2019 did not disappoint. And as for the looks created for the runway? We are in love with the super chic pony tail created to showcase the collection. Want to wear this look for your big day? Quelle says: For the Berta show, models wore hair with two central dutch braids kept tight the scalp. The remaining hair slicked back into a low pony tied at the nape of the neck. Here’s how to create this style yourself’:

1. Prep hair by blow drying smooth, then straightening hair.

2. Begin by parting hair from peak of the eyebrows then splitting in half. Pin away hair at the side, then Dutch braid the top two actions & tie at nape of neck.

3. Using a small amount of glossy gel, slick back remaining hair into a low pony & tie at the nape of the neck.

4. To keep pony tail hair sleek before walking down the aisle, wrap tissue around exposed hair until ready to go.
