High drama and breathtaking fabrics - Reem Acra’s new 2019 Prophet collection tops our list for ultimate wedding dress WOW.

Voluminous ballgowns, long-sleeved masterpieces and Victorian-inspired dresses in all sorts of beautiful textured fabrics are the top picks from the Beirut born, New York designer. Renowned for creating jaw-dropping dresses, this collection is arguably her best yet. The collection was inspired by the book the Prophet, by Khalil Gibran and his portrayal of the beauty of love and marriage. Each gown epitomises the magical and mystical emotions of love, the posture and aura of royalty, but with the attitude and freshness of a free spirit.

Highlights include starched floral jacquard silhouettes with a high neck and sheer fabrics covered with a smattering of the daintiest applique blooms. We love the "Dance of Heavens" wedding dress with illusion lace bodice and organza ruffle and "Wings of Desire" – a perfectly simple sleeveless wedding dress with ruched bodice. The New York show closed with a contemporary update on the classic sleeveless regal-inspired shape with crisp fabric and fresh floral embroidery to create a show-stopping wedding day look.
