Want to know how the House of Thabiso team created the beautiful runway looks at the Berta F/W 2018 catwalk show? We caught up with House of Thabiso featured artists Maxx, Quelle, Storme and Claire to get all you need to know about the backstage beauty looks.

Make Up by Storme and Claire:

The Berta look is bold, sexy & completely modern. We took inspiration from the most recent campaign & gave our models a feline smokey eye in deep chocolates & bronze using Estée Lauder & Tom Ford, focusing depth into the lashline with smudged black khôl liner & smoking it up & out towards the temples. Lashes were applied to thicken without extra length, then coated with mascara. Brows were combed up & filled in to give strength to the eye using Eyelure Brow Gel & Brow Wax Pencil.

For skin, a generous amount of golden liquid highlighter was applied underneath foundation to give a gorgeous glow. This was then followed with bronzer to sculpt out natural facial contours. Minimal blush was used, merely to give colour if needed. A neutral lip colour was applied so as not to draw focus away from the eyes, then powdered where necessary. The final step was to hydrate the body with Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino which gave skin a luminous appearance as they walked down the runway.

Hair by Maxx and Quelle:

We wanted to create a look of understated glamour; clean lines with a dishevelled feel. We kept a common theme of centre-partings, soft uniform waves with a high-quality finish. We then completed the look with a few statement accessories added to accentuate the twinkle of the dresses. We wanted each of our models to look like they owned the room – powerful sexiness that is so true to Berta’s signature style.
